The Columbia City High School Alumni Association (CCHSAA) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Bob Brittan Memorial Scholarship, awarded during this year’s Annual CCHS Honor Convocation. This enduring scholarship honors the legacy of Bob Brittan, a 1954 CCHS graduate and passionate advocate for education and community service.
This year, six outstanding seniors were selected for their exceptional academic achievements, strong leadership, and commitment to service, qualities that Bob exemplified throughout his life.

Each recipient demonstrated not only scholastic excellence but also the values that Bob Brittan held dear: integrity, perseverance, and a dedication to making a difference in their communities.
The Bob Brittan Memorial Scholarship was established to benefit graduating seniors of Columbia City High School who plan to pursue higher education. It is a fitting tribute to Bob’s lifelong commitment to encouraging youth and supporting their future potential.

CCHSAA congratulates each of these deserving students and looks forward to following their journeys in the years to come. We are confident they will carry forward the spirit and legacy of Bob Brittan in all they do.

This story was first published in the Post & Mail in August of 2019.
12 Members of the CCJHS Class of 1959 and 10 members of the CCJHS Class of 1960 toured the building one last time before the new high school would be built. The current CCHS Principal Jennifer Reiff led the 22 alumni through the halls they once roamed. The Class of 1959 were the first class to graduate from the school building located on 600 N Whitley St. In total, 62 classes graduated from that building, accumulating to 15,705 alumni. That location is now being repurposed by the Columbia City Parks Department to create "Eagle Park." More information regarding the plans and construction of Eagle park can be found in a Post & Mail article from October 2025, a Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly article, and some pictures can be found on the Schenkel Construction Inc. website.
