A 1995 CCHS graduate, Cory Sievers was a four-time varsity letter winner in football and basketball. At the time of his nomination he held school records for yards per carry in a season and in a career, kickoff-return yards, single-season all-purpose yards, and single-game rushing yards, and he remains in the top 10 in more than ten statistical categories. His senior season is regarded as one of the greatest single-season performances by a running back in CCHS history, and in 1993 he helped guide the Eagles to their first-ever sectional football title.
Cory remains highly involved in the football program. In 2012 he received the “Count on Me” award for his service to the Junior Football League, and he currently serves as an assistant coach; in 2022 he helped guide the Eagles to their second-ever sectional football title, 29 years after winning the first as a player.

A 1977 CCHS graduate, Becky Reed was a seven-time varsity letter winner. When the IHSAA adopted girls' track and field in 1974, Becky helped get the Lady Eagles program off and running. She is the former school record holder in the 100-yard dash, long jump, and high jump, and the former sectional record holder in the 100-yard dash and long jump. A three-time sectional champion, she qualified for the IHSAA State Meet three times, in the long jump (1974) and the high jump (1975 and 1976).
During her time with the Lady Eagles track and field program, she helped lead the team to four conference titles.

A 2013 CCHS graduate, Jared Murphy was a seven-time varsity letter winner. In football he holds the school record for single-season receptions and ranks in the top 10 for career receptions, single-season and career receiving yards, career receiving touchdowns, single-season and career all-purpose yards, career interceptions, career fumble recoveries, and career kickoff-return yards. He was a three-time first-team all-state selection and earned all-conference and all-Northeast Indiana honors throughout his career.
At Miami University (Ohio) he scored 15 touchdowns and finished in the top 10 all-time in career receiving yards (2,083) and career receptions (158).

A 1980 CCHS graduate, Todd Deutsch was an 11-time varsity letter winner. In wrestling he was a two-time sectional champion, three-time regional champion, and semi-state champion, finishing third at the IHSAA State Finals as a senior. In football he led the Eagles with 922 rushing yards his senior season and earned honorable-mention All-State honors from the UPI. In track and field he was a state qualifier in the pole vault and held the CCHS school record in that event for more than 20 years.
He went on to wrestle at the University of Northern Iowa and Indiana University, and later returned to Columbia City as an assistant wrestling coach, helping the Eagles to four sectional titles, three regional titles, two semi-state titles, and two team final-four appearances.

A 2006 CCHS graduate, Kameron Bailey earned seven varsity letters in basketball, football, and track and field. In football he remains in the top 10 all-time for single-season receptions, single-season receiving yards, single-season kick-return yards, career receiving yards, career receiving touchdowns, career kick-return touchdowns, and career receptions, and in 2005 was named first-team all-conference and first-team region all-star. In track and field he was a four-time all-conference recipient, a sectional champion, six-time regional qualifier, and two-time state qualifier.
At Huntington University he broke four school records in track and field and ranks among the top 10 all-time performances six times. In 2009 he was an NAIA Track and Field National Qualifier in the 200-meter dash.
